Hello I am Dream Venturini, the High Priestess of Circle of the Sacred Fae and a 3rd degree initiate in the American Tradition of the Goddess and a daughter of Amtrads mother coven, Circle of the Moon. I began my path as a solitaire in 1992 before becoming part of American Tradition of the Goddess in 2005. Circling and growing with this group for 5 years I began to find my focus in energy work, healing, meditation, working and communicating with the Fae our Earth Spirits.
On All Hallows Day in 2009 I received my 3rd degree. I formed my Coven, Circle of the Sacred Fae in May 2010. I am also a member of the Texas Local Council of The Covenant of the Goddess (also known as COG) . I am a mother, a grandmother, and a business women who believes that the world, the Goddess and our great Mother Earth continues to amaze and teach me as I walk along this beautiful path.
Long before I was aware of it. Long before I ever started my own solitaire life, I was living as a Pagan. My Italian/Jewish father and Native American/French/Egyptian mother, along with the other elders of both families taught me the different seasons (Wheel of the Year), about herbs, plants, the sacred spirits of the trees and sabbats/holidays. I was raised cultivating and giving back to our Mother Earth, how listen to the wind as it spoke, to see beyond the veil to your ancestors and welcome them home on Samhain night. I am proud to be Wiccan/Pagan and do not live in a world of shame or fear.
A Witch/Wiccan/Pagan lives by a code of ethics which is built upon the Laws of Nature. Our behavior is not regulated by a fear of what awaits us in the afterlife, but a respect for what awaits us in this Life. Everything and everyone is connected. What we do to one another and to our World, we do to ourselves. As with all religious systems, there are certain beliefs. If you are Catholic you believe in one thing, if Jewish, you believe in another. It is no different with Paganism and or Wicca.
These are my basic beliefs that I share with you. Some you will recognize and agree with, some you might not.
I believe in the duality of Nature. All things are feminine or masculine. Like the Christian's Noah's Ark, all things are male and female; so it is with deities. If there is a God, then there is a Goddess.
I believe in reincarnation. I believe everything in Nature is reincarnated. I believe that people can 'come back'. I believe that you are reborn among your family and friends. Perhaps this is why when you meet someone for the first time you feel 'as if you know them already'.
I believe what actions we do affects others and other's actions affect me. This is also known as 'karma'. You must think about your actions and act responsibly. We were not meant to simply wander about doing whatever we want, without regard to a goal and the impact of that goal. We have a responsibility to ourselves and to each other.
I do not believe in belittling another's beliefs. Try to better understand their beliefs and perhaps share with them yours. This may not always work, but respect that they have the right to believe as they will and you have that same right.
I believe if you make a promise (to someone else or yourself) you must keep it. Do not give your word of honor lightly. And before you do make a promise make sure it is one you can morally, ethically and socially keep.
I do not believe in causing intentional harm or hurt to yourself, anyone or anything. This belief is similar to the Wiccan Rede of 'an it harm none, do as thou wilt'.
I believe in letting our young people learn about all religions. Let them see first hand what a specific religion is about. Let the young people be 'informed without bias' so they can make a rational decision when they are old enough. In the past I have attended many Catholic Churches and I feel I am a much more knowledgeable person for this. Religion is not something that should be 'crammed' down another's throat. It is a very personal choice. I believe in honoring our ancestors because they have blazed a trail for us to be here today.
So, my personal message to those who would be considering contacting me for study is simply this; if you wish to keep your religion anonymous, this may not be the coven for you. If you think your journey will be easy, initiations given without doing the work for it, or think you know it all already, your wrong! We are a family, a coven within Nature and a unit that is part of a larger circle. We work together as one, one with Nature and ourselves. To see what the Coven and its members take part in while you are with us please visit our Coven page.
Walking this path has it challenges and its rewards. Finding the right teacher for what you are searching is key to a students success. Before choosing or approaching any coven and or group please take a minute to read over the SEEKERS BILL OF RIGHTS. We look forward to hearing from any potential student. Until then, Merry Meet and Merry Part until we meet again.
